Dr. Carlotti and the PhDs of the Smart Polymer Group (Alberto Picchi, Luca Soldati, and Andrea Giovanelli) had participated to the 9th EuChemS congress that was held in Dublin earlier this July. The European Chemical Society (EuChemS) conference is a prominent biennial event that brings together leading chemists, researchers, and industry professionals from across Europe and beyond. Its topics span the various disciplines of chemistry and its interdisciplinary roles and, as a result, it fosters discussions and contacts between chemists with very diverse backgrounds. In our group, we believe that conferences like this are incredibly important for young researchers, as it helps them to come in contact with cutting edge science outside of their comfort zone and expand their network.
